Raiders will receive points for their help/attendance in Official <Moo> scheduled raids. These points will be used by players to purchase items. If nobody wants to purchase an item we /roll for it and the winner gets it for free.
MooLP is used in all 'official' guild runs, and require an officer (or a person specifically designated by the GM) to use the MooLP addon to track looting. Unofficial/informal runs will will continue to be /roll based.
Awarding Points
On-Time Award - 10 Pts, awarded at the start of the raid.
Boss Kills - Based on the item level dropped by the Boss.
200 Level Item drops - 7 Pts 213 Level Item drops - 10 Pts 219 Level Item drops - 14 Pts 226 Level Item drops - 20 Pts
Progression Kills - Double the standard amount for the first kill of a boss by Moo.
Progression Attempts - A failed attempt of at least 1 hour will be awarded normal points for that boss.
Example - The raid kills a Boss in Naxx 25, this boss drops loot with the item levels of 213, so the raid is awarded 10 Pts for killing him.
Example - We spend an hour wiping on Malygos in Heroic Mode. Malygos drops iLevel 226, so the raid is awarded 20 Pts for the atttempt.
Point Sharing:
Alternate Characters (Alts) may share points with their main characters, so when points are accumulated or spent, the totals are reflected across both the main and alts. NOTE: If you wish to have your alts linked with your main character, be sure to let one of the Officers know, as this can only be done by one of them.
Loot Procedures
We will continue to have two stages of looting, which we will now call 'Need' and 'Want'.
Need You may bid for an item by typing !need into raid chat. The person with the highest total points will win the item, and pay 1/2 his/her current points. At the moment, Need rolls will continue to be on-spec only, but we leave it up to you to determine what is 'on-spec'. We are debating what to do for players who are genuinely dual-spec: who really do switch specs from run to run or even within a single run.
Want Both on- and off-spec rolls are allowed. Items obtained on 'want' are free (no points). Note, however, that during 'want' rolls there is no distinction between on- and off-spec rollers.
We leave it to you to determine whether to save your points or spend them right away. My best guess is that new players will be rolling Need a lot as they gear up. Once they're geared they will start saving points for the last few critical items.
Unwanted Items In the event that an Item is not wanted for Main Spec, or Off Spec, it will go to the Guild Bank.
Keep in mind that it is NEVER acceptable to bid on an item for personal enrichment (selling in AH, disenchanting, etc.).
Checking your Points
In-game, whisper !points to the master looter to see how many points you have.
You may also whisper !help for a list of whisper commands, or !list to list how many points everyone else in the raid has.
Out of game, you may check your MooLP on the website (there is a link at the top of the page).
<Moo> Guests
All guests will participate in MooLP in exactly the same way as guild members.
These rules are subject to change. If you have any questions about these rules, don't hesitate to contact an officer in-game, or make a post in the forums.
